The Department of Culture, Qatar Voluntary Center, in collaboration with the Executive Committee on Heritage, on Wednesday, organized a workshop at Qatar University to present the terms and conditions of volunteering at the FIFA World Cup 2022 and the importance of knowledge in serving the community and building a positive personal experience during such a huge international event.

The workshop was held with the support of Tomah for Social Development. The workshop discussed the key aspects of the process and the various stages of registration, emphasizing that the target number of volunteers is set at 20,000, which will work in various fields and sectors throughout the competition.

During her speech, Qatar Voluntary Center deputy director Aisha Yousef al-Tamimi highlighted the ultimate goal of volunteerism helping others and spreading happiness, noting that Islamic teachings encourage devotion to the spread of love among people. The number of volunteers from the country which includes both citizens and citizens will be 75% of the total while the remaining 25% will be selected from qualified applicants from around the world.

The minimum qualifying age is 18 years and the applicant must have at least a knowledge of English. After the workshop, the Qatar Voluntary Center honored volunteers who participated in the 27th Rabat International Book Fair, the Ramadan Book Fair, and the fourth edition of the International Federation of Sports Press Awards.

Female volunteers benefit from Generation Amazing football during development times

Qatari female volunteers take part in soccer during the development of the FIFA World Cup Generation Amazing Foundation Qatar World Cup 2022 program presented by the Executive Committee for Heritage (SC). Launched by SC in 2010, Generation Amazing operates internationally, including in Qatar, India, Jordan, Lebanon, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, the Philippines, Rwanda, and Uganda.
