As these communities have an important role to play in the cultural experience around Qatar World Cup 2022, the Supply & Inheritance Committee (SC) has partnered with the SC Legacy Program, Josoor Institute, in a series of workshops to develop skills aimed at preparing community leaders to perform of cultural activities and community sports.

Hosted online and in person, workshops focused on the following six topics in the discussion process: Leadership, Influence, and Team Performance; Art & Planning; Discuss and Motivate; Delivery & Impact; the Work of Monitoring and Evaluation. These skills-based discussions not only provided important tools for the launch of the FIFA World Cup 2022, but also provided community leaders with new skills, networks, and knowledge to enhance their professional development.

Qatar Rail's annual meeting discusses transport management for mega-events

Qatar Rail hosted its annual meeting of staff, partners, and advisors, entitled Mega Events Transport Management. The meeting was attended by HE Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti, Minister of Transport; and HE Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz bin Turki al-Subaie, Minister of Local Government and Executive Director and CEO of Qatar Railways Company. According to an official statement from the Department of Transport (MoT), the meeting comes under Qatar Rail's development efforts to host the FIFA World Cup 2022.

During the meeting, the HE Minister of Transport highlighted the important role played by the various public transport network, and introduced a coherent, sustainable transport unit characterized by high efficiency, including the public bus system, Doha Metro network, and Lusail Tram, and covers all parts of the country.

He emphasized the importance of the Doha Metro and other public transport to support the successful planning and hosting of various major events, especially events such as the Amir Cup finals, the 2019 Arabian Gulf Cup, the FIFA Club World Cup 2019 and 2020, and the FIFA Arab Cup 2021.
