Arsenal's Alexandre Lacazette, Lyon is also looking to make a
return to former midfielder Corentin Tolisso. The Frenchman, who has been with
Bayern Munich since 2017, sees his contract expire at the end of the season. Les
Gones football director Vincent Ponsot, speaking at the launch of the January
signing of Romain Faivre and Tanguy Ndombele today, confirmed that there were
contacts with Tolisso's return.
On June 14, 2017, Bundesliga Bayern Munich confirmed
Tolisso's signing of a five-year contract from Lyon for an initial transfer fee
of € 41.5 million, with up to 6 million euros in potential bonuses. Lyon was
the highest bidder ever for a player, although the record was broken again on 5
July 2017 with the transfer of Alexandre Lacazette to Arsenal for € 53 million.
It was also the Bundesliga and Bayern signing record, surpassing
the previous record of 40 million euros the club used to buy Javi Martínez at Athletic
Bilbao in August 2012. On December 5, 2017, with the Champions League
qualifiers already being confirmed, Tolisso scored 200 goals in Bayern's final
game for the club to beat PSG 3-1; although the result was not enough to see

Tolisso started the season as a World Cup winner after
winning the title with France. On the 3rd day of the Bundesliga, Tolisso broke
a muscle in his right knee in a 3-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday,

During Bayern winter trip training in January 2019 in Doha,
Qatar, Tolisso reportedly managed to run in an area of gravity without any
problems. He was due to return to the field in March 2019, which, according to
