It's called 974 as the number is the global dialing code for
Qatar, as well as the existence of the careful number of transport containers castoff
in the stadium's creation. The concept of the stadium was planned
by Fenwick Iribarren Architects, built in the Spanish capital Madrid. The
concept of sustainability is at the core of the stadium's, says Mark Fenwick,
one of the cohorts in the architectural repetition.
"We felt that it wasn't essential for Qatar to have
this eighth stadium after the World Cup," he speaks.
So, we definite to take a very radical plan, which was to
see if we can design the stadium which is not only dismantle-able, but was also
portable, and re-mountable in another country, either as a full stadium or as diverse
pieces which could be put together as a mutable amount of sports buildings.
The sustainability quarrel has been doubtful though. Some
argue Qatar would attain more ecological benefits if the stadium's vital air training
units and other utilities were motorized by renewable energy, somewhat than
fossil fuels. The stadium has a capacity of 40,000 viewers and is built
according to a modular design, using castoff shipping containers. For more know

Fenwick believes the ingenuity lies
in its simplicity
"Essentially, what we did is we had a construction, we
placed the delivery containers on this structure, where they are needed on varied
levels, and then we just plug and play, which is to plug them in electricity,
or any other utilities, and the stadium works in this, I think the very remarkable
unique idea," he speaks.
Qatar has the first-ever dismantle-able and re-mountable
stadium in the world history of football. Stadium 974 is set to be undone after
the FIFA World Cup 2022 which is probable to begin in Qatar on November 21 and
conclude on December 18.
The tournament FIFA World Cup is usually staged about June
and July, but thrilling heat in the country through those months led to its
being held in winter. Though the stadium will be undoing, Fenwick believes
there's a chance for a lasting legacy.
"It is the ultimate legacy attainment, which essentially
is that the stadium will be undone, will be put into the shipping containers
and they will be taken on a ship, and they can be taken to another country and get
on again and what would be fantastic, for me, is that it would be in the next FIFA
World Cup and that the stadium would then be on another location, across the sea,
in another Football World Cup," he speaks.
