It has been five years since the even carrying Follmann and the rest of Brazilian football side Chapecoense Real ran out of coal on the way to the final game of the South American Cup, banging into the mountains outside Medellin, Colombia.

"I had two choices after the accident: sit about feeling sorry for me, or lift my head and face life," he supposed.
