the change of allegiance, saying he wanted to join England's top team. After a
stellar performance against Tottenham and becoming the third-leading scorer in

manager Roy Hodgson for England's UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier against Italy in a
friendly.

played for 90 perfect draws 1-1 at Juventus Stadium.

September 5, 2015, his successor Kane scored the fifth of six goals in England
against San Marino which qualified him for UEFA Euro 2016. Kane scored his
third England goal against Switzerland in another qualifier three days later,
which they won 2–0. On October 12, 2015, as England finished their qualifying

goal since Peter Crouch in 2006. At the European Championship in France in
June, Kane was assigned to take the opportunity to kick out, a tactic
criticized by experts, but defended by Hodgson, who said Kane was the best in
the role.
On June 10, 2017, England captain
Kane for the first time in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Scotland
at Hampden Park, scoring an extra equalizer to redeem a 2-2 draw. On 5 October,
